🚫📱Could banning phones at school actually happen? Find out which country just did it!

Published 8 months ago • 1 min read

Did you know some countries already ban phones at school? The UK is the latest country to join the list - read more here about why they're doing it.

Could the U.S. be next?

I hope so!

Imagine what eliminating smartphones at school could do - kids could be less distracted in the classroom and could be more active at break times; teachers could educate students without policing for devices; time away from games and social media could decrease cyberbullying and phone dependence/addiction.

All it takes to start this movement is just a few parents at a school to bring this up and change the phone policy.

What is your school doing about phones this year? Is it working? I'd love to hear!

Happy Friday!

Currently, KOSA has an astounding 67 bipartisan co-sponsors – putting it in excellent position to sail through a Senate floor vote and become the first federal legislation to protect kids online to pass in 25 years. Our message in the New York Times to Senator...

Celebrating young people! It's one of my favorite times of the year right now - this is the season I partner with the Screen Time Action Network at Fairplay to lead a youth leadership program called NextGen Connect. I get to be part curriculum developer, part entertainment director and part matchmaker, as I...
